Our wax melts have been tested on both tealight burners and on electric warmers. We have found that the electric warmers are releasing the fragrance at a steady and even rate, making the melts last longer, but the fragrance might not be as strong. If you want a stronger fragrance, we'd recommend using a tealight wax melt warmer.
Simply snap off one or two pieces of the bar, and pop them into your melter, switch on if it's electric, or light your tealight if it's a tealight burner. You can switch it off at any time (or extinguish the tealight), and any remaining fragrance will burn again once you switch it back on/relight the tealight. Remember to follow any safety advice given by the warmer you have purchased. They should last up to 12 hours, but you may find they last longer.
Once you think all the fragrance has gone, either follow instructions to remove the wax, or if you have a detachable bowl, simply put in the freezer for 10 minutes and it will just pop out easily afterwards. Wash with warm soapy water and allow to dry/reach room temperature before adding a new melt.
If you do use a tealight burner, make sure it is one designed for melts. Use an unscented tealight. You will find that the scent is likely to be stronger. As with all candles, do not keep in a draught, do not move your burner when lit, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
Setting up your diffuser is easy. Simply unscrew the silver cap and remove the seal (please take care not to spill any fragrance). Once opened, screw the silver cap back on, then arrange the reeds how you wish.
Depending on the size of your room, or the strength of your desired fragrance required, will depend on how many reeds you use. We always have a diffuser on in our office, and we use 8 reeds. Allow 48 hours for it to fully set up.
A diffuser is meant to provide a constant background scent, that is not overwhelming/too strong.
Our room mists are strong, and long lasting (up to half an hour, often more depending on fragrance and room size). For a small room, like a bathroom, you would be looking at 2-3 sprays. For a larger room, try 6 sprays.
Aim to spray away from your face, towards the centre of the room, nice and high.
Please note, that if any of the room mist settles on vinyl or wooden flooring (as with any liquid) it can make the floor slippery. Just wipe up with a cloth if this happens.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn candles out of reach of children and pets. Always leave at least 10cm between burning candles. Do not burn candle on or near anything that can catch fire. Only burn this candle on a level heat resistant surface.
Never burn candles for more than 3-4 hours at a time. Do not allow the flame to touch the glass. On the first burn, always burn 3-4 hours to ensure even melt pool. Ensure the wick is upright, above the wax and central before the wax sets. Always trim to 5mm before lighting to avoid smoking and damage to glass. Equally, make sure you don't trim the wick too short. Glass may become hot during use. Extinguish when 5mm of wax remains and do not relight.
With tin candles, they can get very hot once just over half way down. At this stage, do not burn for more than 3 hours at a time, and keep an eye on how deep the melt pool is.
Please keep all products out of reach of children and pets.
